Root Chakra - Foundations

We continue our work with the Root Chakra this week. After exploring what we truly value, and what makes up the core of who we are - and then beginning to identify the things that pull us from our center and away from our alignment, we now turn to practices of self awareness and the journey inward towards deeper self understanding.

Our yoga practice is a practice of self inquiry. Each Asana, each transition, each moment of stillness provides an opportunity to become more present.

The more grounded we are in each passing moment, the more stable we are in our practice. Staying present with the body helps to prevent injury, and leads to consistency and confidence in your practice.

The more we truly know ourselves, and the more stable and grounded we are in our lives - the easier it is to create a life the reflects our deepest desires and the truth of who we really are.

To explore this energy space answer the following prompt - Complete the sentence ‚”I am...‚” ten times. Try not to spend too much time over thinking your answers and just let what naturally comes to mind flow out of you. A lot can be revealed to you about the beliefs you hold around who you really are. Be willing to have the courage to see the lens through which you view yourself.
